Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Account data: email, display name, a salted password hash (never your password), the date you accepted our Terms. Activity: bets, point balances, and security logs (login attempts, IP address) used to stop abuse. Basic request data from our hosting provider (Cloudflare), such as approximate country.
In the phone app only: if you turn on alerts, a push-notification token for your device (used only to tell you about your bet results and hunts starting; removed when you turn alerts off or delete your account). If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint sign-in, the app keeps a sign-in key in your phone's secure storage (a signed key we can check but don't store, and that stops working if you change your password); your fingerprint or face data never leaves your phone and we never see it.
2. How we use it
To run the game, settle bets, keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and cheating, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Cookies
We use one essential, secure session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Sharing
Service providers who host or operate the site for us (for example Cloudflare), under contract; authorities where the law requires; and event organisers when needed to protect event integrity. Your display name and leaderboard position are public.
5. Retention and security
We keep account data while your account is open and for a reasonable period after, unless the law requires longer. Data is encrypted in transit; sensitive fields are encrypted at rest.
6. Your rights
You can delete your account yourself at any time in Account (tap your name, then Delete account), or ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@houndline.bet. When you delete your account we erase your email, display name, password and any identity-verification details right away. We keep an anonymous record of past bets and point balances, linked to no one, because other players' pools and payouts depend on them. We follow Canada's PIPEDA and other privacy laws that apply to you. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
7. Changes
We will post updates here with a new version date.
